How Much are the Scholarships for?
The scholarships are for $700.00 each. We do reserve the right to increase the amount awarded or the number of scholarships awarded each year depending on the success of our fundraising. For 2021 we are planning to award at least three scholarships.
For Which Institutions can the scholarship be used?
All post high school level work at any institution. This includes any college or university at any level (bachelors, masters, or doctorate). It also includes trade school, technical school, or professional school. The student may attend on a full-time, part-time, or correspondence basis.
Who is eligible?
- Any registered member of St. Paul's and their immediate family members. The immediate family of the registered member includes his or her spouse, children, brothers, sisters, parents, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
- The applicant must be living in the registered member's home or be substantially dependent on the registered member (e.g., dorm student).
- Applicants must be at least 16 years old.
- Individuals who have won two Knights of Columbus scholarships in previous years are ineligible.
What is the Schedule for applying for and awarding this scholarship?
Applications will be made available to the parish on April 5th, 2022. Deadline for submission has been EXTENDED to Sunday, May 22nd, 2022. Scholarships to be awarded (tentatively) at the graduate Mass in June 2022. See the Instructions document for additional information.
