How to Join
Practicing Catholic men, 18 or older, are welcome.
Join online
The fastest way to join is through the Knights of Columbus Supreme website. Sign up on your phone or computer in a few minutes.
- Sign up online. Complete the short application at kofc.org and select Council 10209 at St. Paul. When asked for an agent code, enter SCASTILLO (our insurance agent, SK Sirildo Castillo).
- Confirm by email. You will receive a confirmation email. Click the link in it to confirm that you want to join.
- Meet us. Our membership director will contact you, and a few members will meet with you to explain the history of the Order and answer questions.
- First Degree. You attend a First Degree ceremony and become a member. First Degrees are held at St. Paul’s every other month and monthly across the Diocese.
Who we are
The Knights of Columbus is the world’s largest Catholic family fraternal service organization, with more than 1.9 million members. It gives members and their families volunteer opportunities serving the Church, their communities, families and young people.
Benefits
Members and their families enjoy many benefits, including 12 issues a year of Columbia magazine, eligibility for the Order’s top-ranked life insurance program, and a monthly social activity such as card nights, football on Monday night, family picnics and the Christmas party.
Who can join
Membership is open to practicing Catholic men in union with the Holy See who are at least 18 years old. A practicing Catholic is one who lives up to the Commandments of God and the precepts of the Church. Priests and religious brothers become honorary life members and are exempt from dues.
Prefer paper?
You can still join with a paper application. Pick up Form 100 from the pamphlet racks in the foyer of St. Paul’s, or ask any Knight. Leave the completed form in the KofC mailbox in the parish office. Our membership director will contact you and the process continues as above.
Cost
Annual dues are $40, plus a one-time $25 initiation fee that covers a name tag and admissions materials. Dues include the council newsletter, the Texas State Council’s quarterly publication and Columbia magazine.
Fourth Degree
Any Third Degree member in good standing, one year after his First Degree anniversary, may join the Patriotic Fourth Degree. Several of our members belong to the Bishop Louis J. Reicher Assembly 1099.
